This is because MediaPortal supports two ways of controlling the tuner hardware. #MEDIAPORTAL HDHOMERUN PRIME SETUP 32 BIT#On 32 bit versions of Windows 7 or newer you may see each CableCARD tuner listed twice.If you have a CableCARD, we recommend you disable (untick) the clear QAM wrapper tuners to avoid confusion. Tuners named like HDHomeRun Prime Tuner are capable of receiving encrypted cable channels tuners named like Silicondust HDHomeRun Tuner are physically the same tuners but are only capable of clear QAM. Silicondust created a "wrapper" for their HDHomeRun PRIME CableCARD tuners that allows software like MediaPortal to use them for clear QAM only.Note that you may see more tuners than you expect for three reasons: Close TV Server configuration, wait 30 seconds, then reopen. The DVR software will be turned off by default and can be turned on by opening up the HDHomeRun Setup application, clicking on the “ DVR” tab, and using “Use this PC for recordings”. #MEDIAPORTAL HDHOMERUN PRIME SETUP UPDATE#When new firmware is available, just download and reinstall the Windows installer to update those files. When the HDHomeRun Setup application is open, it will look for all HDHomeRun hardware on the network and attempt to update them using the firmware available at the time the installer was downloaded. #MEDIAPORTAL HDHOMERUN PRIME SETUP WINDOWS 10#It will attempt to sideload the Windows 10 app on Windows 10, or install the older version of the viewer app for Windows 7/8.
